How to Save Beam Designs with WebStructural
Saving steel and wood beam designs to the cloud is easy with WebStructural. Once a design is saved, you can open it from any browser by signing in, and you won't lose it to a broken hard drive. Saving is part of WebStructural Pro.
Here's a quick tutorial to help you make the most of WebStructural Pro.
1. Start a new design
In the beam designer, click + New at the top of the sidebar, or open the File menu and click New.
Give the design a name, pick a folder, and click Create:
The design is saved right away and shows up in the sidebar under its folder:
2. Make some changes
Now change whatever you need: spans, loads, shapes, materials or the design code. As soon as you change something, a Project modified, save now? link appears next to the design's name. Here we've added a second span.
3. Save it
Click Project modified, save now?, or open the File menu and click Save. The link goes away once your changes are saved, and the sidebar shows when the design was last edited.
To open the design again later, click it in the sidebar, use File > Open, or find it on your dashboard.
